Established in 1948, Pak Carpet Industries (PCI) began its journey with the trade of handmade carpets and went on to establish Pakistan’s first handmade carpet manufacturing unit dedicated solely to exports in 1951. By 1969, PCI had grown to become one of Pakistan’s largest exporters, earning the prestigious President’s Export Trophy in recognition of its contribution to the national economy. Through continued investment in manufacturing, PCI introduced needle-punched carpets in 1978 and machine-made woolen carpets in 1984, strengthening its industrial foundation.

In 1985, PCI entered Pakistan’s automotive industry, marking a strategic transition into engineered and OEM-driven manufacturing. Building on this diversification, PCI Materials expanded into plastic packaging in 2014, adopting blow-molded technology to serve the oil and lubricant sector. Today, the PCI Group operates across automotive components, engineered textiles and plastic packaging, and flooring, working in partnership with leading global companies through strategic collaborations, joint ventures, and technical agreements—delivering reliable, high-quality solutions across diverse industrial sectors.
